Getting Started

Ringleader is in private beta and runs on macOS and Windows today, with Linux support on the way. Once you have access, getting to a working, persistent development environment takes three steps:

1. Install: on macOS, a .pkg that installs the macOS native app and the bundled rl CLI; on Windows, an .msi that installs the tray app and the same bundled CLI.
2. Onboarding (first-run setup): sign in, create the local container runtime, and boot your first workstation.
3. Configuration: go beyond the defaults with declarative Workstation and WorkstationConfig manifests (a browser IDE, devtools, ports, and more).

Each page builds on the previous one. If you have never used Ringleader before, read them in order.
